Would anyone consider the VP88 a contender against the AT822 or the AT825 as a single mic covering a stage concert?
I ask because a colleague of mine at another high school swears by his VP88. They mount it about 10 feet high on a stand about 1/3 of the auditorium length back from the stage. I lean strongly toward AT products in general, and I see from the specs that the ATs mentioned are more sensitive than the Shure, but I don't know anything else about the Shure line of products.
Our Chorus director has asked for my recommendation for a mic that will be located in our auditorium space in a manner similar to the above.
