When trying to open old Cineform avi's I got audio, but no video.

Does anyone have a solution?

You didn't say the NLE used?

Premiere only uses MOV natively for CineForm.

Use https://sourceforge.net/p/vdfiltermod/wiki/Home/ to losslessly rewrap CineForm AVIs to MOVs.

Managed to get it all working at last: Installing NeoScene did the trick:
All my Cineform Avi's are now imported in Adobe Premiere without a problem :-)

Just for the record:

Open Video File
Video > Direct Stream Copy
Audio > Direct Stream Copy
Queue Batch Operation > Save As > Save As Type > QuickTime/MOV
Job Control > Start
