.
I am a long-time user of Adobe Encore CS6. I also use PPRO CC and it works great.
Recently I went from Windows 7 to Win 10. When I reinstalled Encore CS6 none of the Menu Libraries, Buttons, etc, made it in the reinstall. I’ve done a lot of searching here and on the net for solutions. One thing I did find was a link to download contents zip file, quite large, that I could install. I downloaded it but haven’t installed it yet. I want to do it the right way so I’m holding off. Everyone says that Encore is old, and Adobe doesn’t support it anymore. The Zip File that I downloaded comes from the Adobe Forums.
Here is the Link, https://forums.adobe.com/message/11078983#11078983
I also would like to know is there a DVD Authoring Software that I could get that would be a good replacement for Encore?
Being that Adobe does not support Encore any longer it seems that it has become a massive headache for allot of us. I would rather start using another DVD authoring software than deal with Encore any longer.
Any help on installing the Contents file or advise on a new DVD Authoring software that I could replace Encore with would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Harry

Take "supported" with a grain of salt.

It wasn't developed beyond CS6 because there wasn't anything left to do to enhance the software with. The software was fully mature and was still available. If anything, it may have been "discontinued" as an active part of the Creative Suite so that Adobe no longer have to make royalty payments for codec support etc.

You can still run the software and get the job done. The menu libraries and buttons should come back with installing the content from the zip file (very long time since I did it myself).

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your reply. I've been trying to find the folders I need to copy and paste too. I've got a computer guy I rely on to help me. In my Searches for DVD authoring software I've come across some very interesting hits. Worth looking into. Very disappointing that Adobe no longer supports this product.
BTW here's one of the links I came accross. https://www.toptenreviews.com/best-dvd-authoring-software
Thanks so much for your input. Very much appreciated.

Had a brainwave that showing a directory structure of the program files etc on my computer might assist with a manual fix at your end. But I had likely uninstalled it at one stage.

I do have a copy of the "Adobe Encore CS6 Functional Content" from what I am presuming was the DVD disc physical media for CS6. Worth noting that the files include an installer "Set-up.exe" ... which may just be what you are looking for, if reflected in your downloaded files.

Hope this also helps.

I had a similar issue with Photoshop 7 which I own and am 100% familiar with. I have no need, for video work, to to use a newer version of PS. Trouble is PS7 like Encore is no longer supported by Win !0. I did a fair bit of digging around on this and found a solution that works 100% for Photoshop 7. Just a though it may or may not work for you with Encore. You have to make sure you follow the steps outlined 100%. In my case I've ended up with a PS7 install on Win 10 that runs perfectly.

If you go down this route post back and let us know whether it was a successful install and if Encore runs correctly and has all its attributes and functions working correctly. Could be useful to others confronted with the same dilemma.

I installed CS6 production suite, including Encore, on Win10/64bit with no issues. The functional content for Encore,. After Effects and Premiere is available on line, here is a link: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html

EDIT when I went to the site to check, got a 404 file not found error on the links to the content. However, the installation instructions are there, if that's any help. Possibly Adobe has removed the files? All the content is on the 3rd disk in the installation software package, incidentally.

I want to thank everyone who responded with their help and suggestions here. With all your suggestions I found an Encore contents Folder that I had since 2018. It included an installer "Set-up.exe". Andrew suggested that I go ahead and launch it and see what happens. It found the correct folder and installed the Library, etc, etc. Everything is good so far. Will keep you posted as time goes on.
Thanks to all.
