Get your cameras ready, here is the theme release for the 49th UWOL Challenge.
Follow rule 11, and have FUN! :)

Seems like the weather is very often a factor when we make our uwol films. So this time, you will all have to battle the weather, one way or another.

THEME:
WEATHER

As always, your imagination is the limit of how to interpret the theme.
Yes, the theme has been used a very long time ago, so to those of you who have done this theme before, here is a chance to improve yourself. :)

DEADLINE:
November 30, 2018 - midnight wherever you are.*

Remember to request upload details from*uwol@dvinfo.net, for our Vimeo account.
Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Ha. Where were you a couple of weeks ago when the snow was just below my knees. You have made it a lot tougher to use that excuse anyway. Thanks.

Gordon

Yeah, and just before I head down to the Atacama desert in Chile, the driest place on earth!

Ho, a nice theme, Trond,
Bob, make sure you check out some of the museums- fascinating mummies and pre Inca textiles,

I like the theme, too. At least in my mind, I can imagine more possibilities.

Bob, have fun down there. I'm back in the US for a week before returning to Cusco in a few days. Can't wait to get home! I've gone back and forth about taking my old EX1r back with me, but I think I'm not going to bother with it. The size and weight is probably more trouble than it's worth. (I still have three days to change my mind, though!)

I always bring my XF300 with me. Size and weight... just use a large enough backpack. Problem solved. :)

Bob, have a good trip into the extremely dry weather.

I almost did that. I have a very good LowePro pack all ready to go, but bringing it means I have to leave behind some things that I need more and there are the import taxes to consider. Unfortunately, as friendly as they are, Peruvian customs officials at the airport couldn't give me any idea how much I would have to pay. It could end up being pretty high for a camera that I'd like to use, but don't need.

I held off buying something on this trip to the US because what I wanted was either too expensive at this time or not available (Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K).

It's ok -- I've still got plenty to shoot with back in Cusco. Can't wait to get home in a couple of days and start shooting!
