View Full Version : mounting wireless Jim Stamos March 20th, 2018, 02:16 PM how are you mounting your wireless receiver to the camera? looking for a bracket for this, my lectro doesnt have a shoemount on it Kevin Lau March 21st, 2018, 12:45 AM So, we might need to know what model of receiver you're trying to mount to what model of camera here. LR? SR? UCR? Otherwise we can only really recommend gaff tape, velcro, or zip ties as the only truly universal solution. Lectrosonics does sell shoe mount / 1/4"-20 threaded brackets application specific for their models. There are also generic ones (such as bracket1.com (https://bracket1.com)) that are a metal back with a wrap around velcro that should fit most 'pack' style receivers. Paul Anderegg March 21st, 2018, 01:15 AM I mount my AVX receiver in the XLR jack :-) Once I had to run an old Sennheizer thing...i plugged it in the XLR and clipped the wire belt clip to the back of the shotgun cable. :-D Paul Kevin Lau March 21st, 2018, 01:31 AM I mount my AVX receiver in the XLR jack :-) Have you had issues trying to power it at the same time (over USB) while the receiver is on? I found I could only get clean audio with the receiver running on its internal battery. There are other similar options. You can find them through the links above (not endorsing B&H, but an easy way to see what various vendors are offering). Randy Johnson March 21st, 2018, 11:34 AM I got this https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1197471-REG/dm_accessories_wamx00_wrap_around_mount.html/BI/2855/KBID/3801 its great! Randy Johnson March 21st, 2018, 11:37 AM oh it may not work with the 80s and 90s sorry Paul Anderegg March 21st, 2018, 12:51 PM I tested the AVX on my old X180 that had a full size always powered USB-A port, and never heard any interference...the red charge light stayed on confirming it was charging while in use. Paul Jim Stamos April 30th, 2018, 05:22 PM Does that go high enough to fit my lectrosonics in it And is it staying pretty solid of would I need to Velcro |
