If I'm doing a live streaming show with greenscreen using Tricaster, does the codec matters (XAVC-I or XAVC-L) or 422/420 or the camera matters when I'm not even recording?

Jeff Pulera February 28th, 2018, 09:50 AM No, the "live" HDMI or SDI output will be 4:2:2 without compression regardless of internal record codec setting. Thanks Jeff Kenny Shem February 28th, 2018, 09:53 AM Hi thanks for your answer. Most camera will output 422 thru HDMI and SDI? Jeff Pulera February 28th, 2018, 11:19 AM Correct, 4:2:2 is the standard over digital outputs. Kenny Shem March 1st, 2018, 02:16 AM I'm looking at getting Sony HXR-NX5R for live green screen works. Checked the manual but there is no mention of 8 or 10 bits, 422 or 420 output through SDI. It only mention "BNC type (x1), SD/HD/3G(Level-B) selectable SMTPE 259M/292M/424M/425M standards". Is it still able to output 422? |
