I'm interested to learn if anyone has successfully linked a JVC GY-HM200U 4K camcorder to what I understand is called "video switcher software", such as vMix or preferably OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). Ideally, the software would run on both Windows and MacBook Pro (i7).
I am able to make the camcorder connect to Windows10/64 on a LAN and stream in "test mode" to YouTube.
Now we'd like to be able to add "overlay" graphics so that a music performer could be identified during a performance by superimposing a PNG/JPG.
On the OBS forum, I was advised to put VLC between the camcorder and the OBS, but that isn't a solution that is easily understood by me!!!
Please post or PM me if you have practical suggestions.
TIA.
