I recently picked up a sony a6500 to use with a hand gimbal. I bought the $600 18-105 lens, which is nice,
and internal zoom, so I Don't have to re balance the gimbal if I zoom in or out.
The problem is that the auto focus on the lens is pretty useless on the fs7. AF using the older 18-200 sony lens is pretty decent when I need to use it.

I haven't checked the current firmware on the lens, and I have to do it on the 6500 .

Does anyone know anything about this AF problem?
Thanks

FS7 I'm not 100% sure about. However, I do know for a fact that there was a firmware
update for this lens to improve focus performance and it has made a real and definite
difference on my FS700 (although I think the FS700 autofocus is better than the FS7
autofocus.) More info on firmware update here:
