Hi Jim - I'm guessing you've already Googled "Free Laughing Audio Track", I just did and there are masses of 'em.

You will probably need lots of them.
Short, Long, big, medium, small, wild, med, soft and variations of them....
Laughing / applause can't be just faded out it must die naturally otherwise it just doesn't sound right.

I used to do sound on a game show for TV, in the crowd warm up we would record many variations for post production using the 'Warm up guy'.... And every weekly record secession.

I have a back-up tape of all the classic laugh tracks from Thames TV Teddington studio one where they did Benny Hill, Mr Bean, Tommy Cooper and numerous sit coms inc Men Behaving Badly and Last of the summer wine.

Sadly it is an AMS Neve AudioFile Exabyte back-up tape so I would need a machine to restore and get them all back again.

AMEN! Some TV shows have a totally unnatural sounding laugh track that actually gets in the way of the show to my ears.
