Hello,

I am trying to set up my Sony PXW-Z150 to wireless stream to my Mac into Wirecast but I can't get Wirecast to see the stream. I can get a stream into VLC without issues - any ideas how to get this working?

I've attempted this with my PXW-X70 and I believe many of the streaming features are similar.
In my case, the camera uses UDP which is compatible with VLC but is not compatible with Wirecast Pro WebStream plugin.

Now that Wirecast 7.6 supports NDI you may stream the Z150 to VLC and bring that it using NDI. Of course you can alway screen capture the VLC window.

I know some who have been able to stream from JVC cameras to Wirecast because the camera uses a compatible protocol.

I have an android phone and PXW X70 and can stream to VLC using udp://:1234 then screen capture using Stream Screen to Facebook, Youtube, Ustream and a few others. But only one at a time.

Thank you both for the help!

I have got image into VLC and can screen capture so that works but what about the camera audio?

Craig - I like the idea of the NDI option but a newbie to this, how would I set that up?

I thought the audio also transferred to VLC. Ah, wait if you mean VLC to Wirecast I have not tried. As a last resort, you could simply run a cable from the headphone on the camera to the mic on the computer.

If VLC see audio than Wirecast will capture it through the computer's sound.
