I recently purchased this device but can't get the IP address to resolve. The modem works perfectly when plugged into a computer, but when plugged in to my GY-HM200's Host port and successfully selected it in the Connection Setup screen, the Remote Control page can't be accessed from the IP address.
Anyone experience this issue and have a solution?

Romondo, welcome to DV Info Net.
I can tell you that JVC watches this forum, but since this is the weekend, it might be Monday before you get a reply.
Of course, it's always possible that fellow members here will have some helpful advice to offer. It sounds to me like a compatibility issue.

I spent considerable time on the phone with a Verizon IT specialist who explained that the problem is the ipv4 IP address displayed in the Status screen is private. If the I could get an ipV6 address, I would be able to access the Control Panel. I don't believe this camera will display an ipv6 address.
The tech told me the real solution is to purchase a static IP address. I'm looking for any documentation by JVC that states that that is a requirement or this to work.

Romondo, thanks for the update. I'll try to put this discussion in front of someone at JVC.

From the device google "what is my ip" and see if you don't find out your ipV6 address.

I think this is in the wrong section. OP mentioned the GY-HM200 (4K camera), not the GY-HD200 (HDV camera)

Thanks for catching that, Earl... so moved.
