Hi guys,
I have a shot of an old tv against different backgrounds and I'd like to place a music video that I've shot inside the tv (like it was playing on this old tv). I thought that I would make the shot of the tv the upper layer on after effects and the music video the lower layer (after I resize it to fit the tv screen). My question is how to create a transparent mask so that only the place where the music video is placed over the footage of the old tv is visible? I'm sure I'll need to feather the frame so it won't look too superimposed. I used to this all the time like 15 years ago but's it's a long time I haven't use AF.
