Would this light be useful outdoors, Dracast LED1000 Daylight?

It says 8000 lux at 3'
2100 lux at 6'

I use reflectors outdoors but it sure would be nice to have a battery powered light to help as well as a portable daylight color light to use indoors.
Thoughts?

In short...no. Unless you're shooting against a very shaded background, or can shoot LOG, you'll really have a tough time competing with a sunlit background.
I've got a 200w LED light that puts out 16,000 LUX at 3 ft with an 8" parabolic adapter and it's still underpowered when nicely diffused. Use it bare and you'll likely have an uncomfortably squinty talent.

There are some shows that throw a double-net 8x8 scrim behind the talent to help tame the highlights, but that takes time, gear and skill to pull off properly...and only drops the light by about 1.2 stops.

Thank you kindly, Oren.

I was hoping for something battery powered and easily portable that could help things. Sounds like my hopes are a little high.
