Hi all,
My FS7 Viewfinder hinches is broken under normal camera usage.
I hope it is replaceable spare part (hinches). It is still working,
I can open and close with an unusual click sound. Can anyone guide me
how to trace the exact component and possibility of buying it online
since it is very difficult to trace in India.

I've heard of a number of people having various things break on the FS7. I don't own one (I have a FS5 and another Sony ENG cam) but if you look on the FS7 Manual (PDF download) on this Sony UK site you might be able to find the part number.

I guess it's one of the reasons why they re-designed some parts for the FS7 MkII.

Hi,

I got it fixed by my old friend, a design engineer retired from ISRO (Indian space research organisation). He removed the broken area of the hinches and replaced with metal part, now functionality is better than Sony Original, he also guarantee that it won't break under normal use. The microphone shockmount was also broken got fixed by him. Cost of repair is very low.
