A lot of articles out there have, shall we say, a very poor "signal to noise ratio" when it comes to genuinely useful information. The worst offenders have been CDN companies forewarning us of the evils of the slightest risk of buffering video and the need for their premium services (and not using the free YouTube). Yes, there is a lot of verbally inflated crap out there.

So it pleases me greatly to share an article that is genuinely useful: Facebook Video: Tips & Best Practices for Video Marketers (http://tubularinsights.com/facebook-video-best-practice)

A special live video streaming section of the web site is here: Live Video Streaming Trends & Tips (http://tubularinsights.com/video/live-streaming/)

I've been reading them since they were known as ReelSEO. Because their business is marketing rather than pushing any specific CDN, they provide good information on how to do most effective video outreach.

Thanks Andrew

Great articles indeed. I did learn very fast that audio isn't that critical on FB as videos start with the speaker muted by default so I concentrate on captions rather than audio. However never knew that square or portrait shaped video gets more attention than widescreen ..I had better drag out a few 4:3 clips and put them on FaceBook!!
