Hi guys. I've been using this headset mic to record into my video camera for a while but the thin wire has worn out and now it is crackling. I need an upgrade.

Can you give me suggestions for a headset mic that goes up to about £100. If there are any that are more then they might be worth mentioning as I would consider more if it was really worth it.

I would assume a $14 USD mic would break easily.. and not sound very good either.
The OST HM-701 headset mic is around $100 USD. (w/ 3.5 plug.. a Phantom or battery Powered XLR version is considerably more) I have not used their headset mic but other OST mics sound good and are highly regarded by most folks (search here and other sound forums).
