Steve Nate Haustein November 12th, 2016, 11:43 AM Naw, that's just the regular 18-105mm that comes with the FS5. I always found these EA50s interesting for their price point. When you need a few high-sensitivity cameras but don't have a huge budget. Randy Johnson November 12th, 2016, 02:00 PM No that's the same lens as the "m" it must include something else. Maybe the hard drive? Steven Digges November 12th, 2016, 10:44 PM Still say this is what it looks like to me. Thats why there is no price. The lens is more than the body. Same EA50, just offered with a new lens at no discount I am guessing: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1280873-REG/sony_selp18110g_e_mount_lens.html/?gclid=CjwKEAiAmJvBBRDKpP724LigwngSJAAYRJXBjMBdJRgyDlxLQ3KfZMSx6ISwvGBh54B57yo0XsArcxoC6IDw_wcB&c3api=0980%2C110369298413 Steve Noa Put November 13th, 2016, 01:24 AM The photo on the product page indicates otherwise, that's the 18-105mm, it wouldn't make sense for sony to combine this camera with the 3,5k 18-110mm lens, especially because sony labels this camera as entry level. No-one would buy this. Randy Johnson November 13th, 2016, 02:58 AM I think they are throwing the remote or the hard drive recorder or both. We'ok see Noa Put November 13th, 2016, 03:31 AM It's just an attempt from Sony to resurrect a otherwise dying model, just trow in a accessory or other lens, give it's name a new suffix and bam! new model, new price. :) If they would give the camera a new 4K capable sensor or one that is optimized for video it would be worth looking into but now, nah, not really. Randy Johnson November 13th, 2016, 07:22 PM I personally would be on board if they either put the chip in it from the ARs II OR made a A-psc 28-104 at 2.8 and included it. OR both :) Steven Digges December 2nd, 2016, 10:52 AM Since I seem to be the last guy in the universe still shooting with two EA50s I am curious about this. I have searched it several times to no avail. I think Noa is right about an accessory or some gimmick. When I copy the new model number and paste it in B&H search box it changes to a lens hood! Anyway....still loving my cameras and plan to keep going until my clients ask for 4K. Steve Randy Johnson December 8th, 2016, 03:25 AM Steve im with ya I am loving my cameras although I am thinking about small. It looks like the AR6500 and FDR-AX100 have the same chip I was thinking about using my current lenses and using the AR-6500 for detailed stuff and the FDR for my bread and butter stuff. I guess in threory I could get the same pix with less weight and more flexibility also I could go 4K if I wanted. Hey Steven, I still have my EA50U so you are not the ONLY one left, lol :) |
