Hey everybody I just have one question. Has anybody heard of the Raynox MX-3000 Semi Fisheye lense and if so is it an okay lense to purchase for my first fisheye.

It would make a great "first fisheye". [Not too pricey also....]

Raynox lenses have been discussed inthe past. Try search forums on the name.

In general, with lenses you tend to get what you pay for.

Great & fun lense. I use it for my GL2 and my Sony Digital F828 camera. Not pricey and does a great job. Turns out some pretty wicked film & photos!

I used one of these filming today on my vx2 and i can say that the quality is almost up to par with the century optics death lens. This lens is seriously good, and its cheap too.

I bought the mx3000 for my first fisheye on my GL1, it is a very good first fisheye and there are tutorials on the skateperception forums to widen it, making it more comparable to the death lens (more vig/lower quality but still great for the price)
all in all it is great widened or not
