2 Weeks ago, during the last weekend of august, I participated in the 48 Hour Film Project for the first time. We gathered a team and it was a blast!
We were participating in Rotterdam (The Netherlands).

Our genre: dark comedy.
The title 'Schoon genoeg' is hard to translate as it means both 'clean enough' and '(having) enough of something'/'(being) fed up with it'.
We put subtitles in the Closed Captions.
BEWARE: some might consider this strong language.

We shot on FS5 in SLog3.
For the 2 walking shots we used a MoVI M5.
For the top shot we used the MoVI hanging from a Cinevate Atlas, which was resting on a contruction of several C-stands to make sure to feet from the stands would be on camera.

We got nominated for best music and best use of line.
But the best part was getting more votes from the audience than 2 of the nominees for best film. :-)

Let me know what you think.
I hope you enjoy it :-)
(If you had to laugh: feel free to share it on social media...)

With over 1600 views we are doing quite alright for a Dutch short.
Thanks for watching!

.........
For the top shot we used the MoVI hanging from a Cinevate Atlas, which was resting on a contruction of several C-stands to make sure to feet from the stands would NOT be on camera.
.....

Forgot a little word (NOT) here... oops.

Anyone else any thoughts?
(I know it isn't flawless.)

Hej Walter, looked great! Sound was really good, same goes for the image, only for a very few close ups I had the impression it was shot in 16:9 but not always taking the 2:35:1 aspect ratio into consideration (like at 01:05 where the framing of his face didn't seem right - with the eyes going off screen for a short while)

I also think you need to understand Dutch (lucky me :) to understand the context of what is being said, especially the "schoon genoeg" reference, you did explain it but I think the joke only makes sense to Dutch speaking people.

Other then that, great job on accomplishing something like this in 48 hours, I have done something similar 10 years ago during a videocourse where we had to produce a short film in a day with a team of 4, that was very challenging indeed, but fun.

Thanks Noa!

We shot with 2.35:1 in mind (and markers), but that shot happened to be the best acted one.
(And I admit: I don't always worry about things getting off screen :-p )

Yeah, the meaning of the title will elude most non-Dutchies, but I'm sure they get the message :-)

In 48 hours it is crazy, but so cool. Luckily we had a team of 20.
Especially after image locked it is nice to have a colorist, composer, audiomixer and title designer working at the same time.

Bedankt! (Thanks!)

2 Weeks ago we suddenly discovered the short was posted on a Dutch videoplatform (Dumpert) (and nobody knows who did that). We wanted views, I guess we got some extra views this way: about 63,000 views (of which 61,000 is the first 2 days only).
On YouTube we are closing in on 2800 views... platform matters for sure :-p

In the meantime we added German, French, Spanish, Italian and Swedish subtitles.
Ready to conquer the world ;-)
