Any word on the firmware upgrade for the Cine Zoom CN7x17 lens?

After some calling around, I have an update on this. Many EF lenses can have their firmware updated via end-user, through the camera. However, at least the Cine Zoom CN7x17 lens needs to be sent in to Canon's lens department for a free firmware update. There is no charge, but you do need to sent the lens in. This lens is not user-upgradeable with regards to firmware.

With the new lens firmware, the lens should work with the C300 M2's auto-focus features. I do believe, there is also zoom control functionality via the toggle switch. The handgrip has motors for focus, iris and zoom. That is pretty cool for jibs or remote functionality.
