I've looked at the specs over and over and it's still a mess. Looking at the B&H specs page is confusing as there's a thousand rates, bitrates, sizes. Does anyone know of a good resource for C300 mkII frames rates that easy to read? Some type of spreadsheet would be great.

This is the list from B&H:

Frame Rate 59.94 Hz Mode
59.94i/p, 29.97p, 23.98p

50 Hz Mode
50i/p, 25p

24 Hz Mode
24p

Perhaps I should have been more detailed.

I'm looking for a spreadsheet/matrix that shows all the different combinations of frame rates, resolutions and bit rates. Found what I needed on page 63 of the online user manual if anyone else ever needs it.

Only 1080/2K can do 59.94i/p and 4K does all the rest.

I wonder if there's any chance in the big firmware update that's due in a week's time they'll enable 4K 50/60P - apparently the camera's capable of it, they have just chosen not to enable it.

Clearly the answer is "no". Canon is not in the habit of adding surprise features. They clearly announce their intentions. It was not intentionally crippled.

So for my next question...what about the crop at these frame rates?
Am I right to say that you can shoot any resolution up to a frame rate of 60p on the full sensor?
Once you go over 60p you have to crop? Is that right?

I've searched and only found the attached chart in the manual. Still, I don't see anything clearly defining the crop factors and frame rates. If a C300mkII owner could confirm that would be awesome. Thanks!

Scott, a bit off topic but just checked out some of your work and that's an impressive portfolio you have got, I particularly liked January in Japan, makes me want to jump on a plane and fly there :)
