Using Vegas 12- message- error occurred saving the project. Never had this happen before. Editing tv show 12. Will not let me save to hard drive or external. Heeeelp !

OK i'll suggest something. Never been in that situation before but I do use Vegas 12.

Open Sony Vegas again with your project still open and copy and paste everything in to the new one and try and save it.

To copy effects over copy and paste and paste attributes.

Would I be correct assuming you did a clean uninstall before the re-install? If not the re-install effort may have been wasted. Have you done a reset and deleted the cached application data?

Are you on Windows 10 OS? I have read similar problems with Win 10 users.

did you install vegas as admin?

to what drive are you saving (do you have rights)?

Sorry, but Windows installs always run as admin automatically.

i've had vegas come up with a shield on it under 10 - could be dependent on how your admin rights are set up....

Is the "Copy Media with Project" box in the Save dialog checked or unchecked?
