Just wondering if any FS5 owners/users out there can tell me if theres continuous shooting in 120fps in 1080p? I know the Sony a7s II can and my FS7 can shoot 120/180fps continuously.
Thanks
Thanks
View Full Version : Sony FS5 continuous shooting in 120fps in 1080p? Thanks Andy Wilkinson March 24th, 2016, 07:29 AM Nope. 1080p50 or 60FPS continuous is easily possible (4.2.2 in 10-bit XAVC-L at 50Mbps). But for 100FPS and above in 1080p it is in bursts only (again at 10-bit 4.2.2). I've never bothered with anything more than 200 or 240FPS as the quality goes south above those. For QFHD, max FPS is 25 or 30, and this is at a maximum of 100Mbps XAVC-L in 4.2.0 8-bit. Jeff Zimmerman March 24th, 2016, 07:43 AM Thanks Andy, bummer, the much less cheaper a7s ii shoots continuous 120fps. Guess its not bad to have burst mode only as you wouldn't want to over shoot or end up with too much wasted footage. The FS5 becomes a much more expensive B-cam than say an a7s ii or a7r ii at nearly twice the cost. Something I'll have to consider, appreciate the info. Andy Wilkinson March 24th, 2016, 07:47 AM No problem Jeff.
