After buying the PXW-X180 when it first came out at $5000, then watching it drop to $4500 a month later, then to $4000, I decided to hold off on my Z150 purchase. Good thing I did, because all those people who put down $3600 to preorder it just got raped for $400 extra, which is how much the price drop is on the Z150 now. $3200 USD final price.....yes, I will take one, thank you very much. :-D

This probably means that Sony spies found out what competing companies will be debuting at NAB 2016, and lowered the price to get as many sales as possible............my guess.

there is nothing special about that, happens all the time with any brand. It's just the price you pay of being a early adopter.

Not even out and already a pricedrop?? I thought it was already available.

It is really a variant of the NX100 which is $1700 at the moment so I think there may be another price drop as I think the differences can only be about $1000 for 30P UHD etc as they were all likely in the fireware for the NX100 anyway !!! So expect a drop to about $2700 when they really come out.
