Hard to find answer to this even on Sony sites. Just wondering if both of these are 10 bit and 4:2:2 or is it only the 50Mb version?

10bit 4:2:2 is only on the 50mbp/s setting.

35mbp/s and lower are 8bit 4:2:0.

50mbp/s 10bit 4:2:2 is already a very low 1080 bit rate as it is in h.264. So Sony would probably never try to push 10bit in anything lower than 50mbp/s.

XAVC-L HD on my FS7 is 10-bit for all the bitrates. I would imagine it would be the same on the X70 since it's using XAVC-L.
Alister stated it's 10-bit in all modes in his review:
Sony PXW-X70 Review | XDCAM-USER.COM (http://www.xdcam-user.com/reviews/cameras/sony-pxw-x70-review/)

Also in the press release it states 10-bit for all 3 bitrates:
Sony Announces PXW-X70 XDCAM Professional Compact Camcorder (http://www.dvinfo.net/news/sony-announces-pxw-x70-xdcam-professional-compact-camcorder.html)
"When recording in XAVC, the PXW-X70 uses the MXF file format, efficiently compressing full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution using the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 CODEC.
Image sampling is 4:2:2 10-bit with high-efficiency Long-GOP compression at 50 Mbps, 35 Mbps or 25 Mbps."

Thanks guys.
So in conclusion the 35Mb mode is 10 bit, while the 25 Mb mode is 10 bit but only 50i or 60i correct?

That is correct.
