I was on a stills shoot the other night and lugged the C300 II along. Spent about 5 minutes shooting the model in a couple of low light situations, using DPAF Face detection. Shots are 60p played back at 24p. Iso's are 6400-10,000. More comments on the vimeo page.

That piece was shot about a week before the new camera arrived, on the C300. (still absolutely nothing wrong with that camera :-)

I uploaded a new version. This time in a 30p timeline ( I wasn't digging the 24p due to my shitty handheld work). I also regraded a couple of clips to show a more typical colorful neutral grade.

Me too - I'm still with the C300. In fact I've just had it serviced and bought a new monitor unit and its as good as new again.
Really impressive C300 Mk 2 shots Barry. The ability to stay in focus on the move with a shallow depth of field is truly impressive.
Regarding whether I'm going to upgrade. I'm still weighing up pros and cons and looking at cashflow and also pretty tempted by the Sony FS7 ( + the new FS5) which must have really dented Canons sales. I did look at one and was pretty underwhelmed but would love to have an affordable servo zoom again.
