Hi guys, someone tested the FS5 lens, the Sony 18-105, you can watch there: TEST SONY 10-105 - YouTube
It shows a problem during zoom at center of the frame, a sort of pulsating image that expands and contracts rhythmically.
Anyone else has noticed this problem? It seems that it's in every lenses (it's not a defective lens) and when it's enabled the lens correction in the menu.
Best regards,

The 18-105mm is not a perfect lens optically. It performs decently throughout the zoom range because of the internal camera correction profile that minimizes distortion. I wonder if this lens was ever really meant for a true creep zoom, or rather just for correcting the distortion at the various focal lengths used when taking still images.
Either way, still usable for me on the FS5 - who uses zoom during recording anymore anyways :D

They did not tell which camera it was tested on. I use the lens on my FS7 with no issues.

All I know is, is that the lens is light and a dream to work with. It has its flaws YES, but if you learn to work around them you will love this lens like I do.

This problem has been fixed with a firmware update on the FS700.

Sony would be a bunch of idiots if they didn't.
The FS5 is meant to replace the FS700. It should of come with the fix out of the showroom.
