Hi, I'm doing a lot of cutting and pasting between vegas projects. I find that vegas automatically fade-in and fade-out each clip that I add to another project. Any way to turn this off?

Since I need to go through an entire project before final cut and remove every fade at the start and end of an audio clip. Edward Troxel September 12th, 2015, 11:13 AM Are you referring to audio or video? How about a snapshot showing what you are seeing/getting? Adjul Gardner September 13th, 2015, 06:50 AM This is two clips butted up against each other. The audio always gets automatically faded-in and faded-out. Which I need to remove one by one at the end before my final render of a project (or the audio stutters). Edward Troxel September 13th, 2015, 12:21 PM Actually, you want that to happen. If it doesn't, you might get a slight popping noise. You can define the length in the preferences. Default is 10ns. And, yes, you can turn it off - Options - QuickFade Audio Edits Jay Massengill September 15th, 2015, 06:55 PM In addition, if you're doing a project where you already know you want an audio fade at almost every spot you make a cut, you can set the value to 1000 milliseconds and get an automatic 1 second fade instead of putting one in manually every time. I recently did this with several audio-only projects where the material was being cut down and rendered to dozens and dozens of individual files and it was very helpful. |
