I have two Sony NX5P cameras that I purchased around three years ago. I am contemplating selling these - I know I may not get a great deal for them but it must be better than sitting at the top of my cupboard. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what price they may get?

One of the first places I go to get comparison pricing for used equipment is eBay. Doing a search for ‘Sony NX5’ and selecting “camcorder” then selecting “Completed listings” (this gets both sold and not sold), there are several in the $2K to mid $3K range, USD, but these are all in the US. The “U” model is for the US or maybe North America (?), and I guessing the “P” is for Australia or maybe the Pacific?

This should give some kind of an idea for value, and then one can apply a correction factor for your area. After all this, in the end it can be a roll of the dice.
