It seemed to me that the Alabama performance in DC at the Capitol Fourth telecast was canned. There were not enough mikes visible to support the sound that was heard and all the levels were very consistent, suspiciously so for a live gig. About the only thing that seemed "live" was the singer's mike as evidenced by his hand clapping.

Occasionally in the past I have done a search on a live show and found techs talking about which parts were not entirely live but in this case nobody is talking about it. Did anyone here work this show and care to share?
