More PXW-X70 4K Deliciousness - YouTube Ricky Sharp June 27th, 2015, 06:16 AM Very nice! I could only view the footage at 1440p though (limits of my system). Very little moiré or aliasing, and you have to be purposefully looking for it. I guess that's not too surprising though since the sensor is in between "4K" and "8K" (I'm assuming the sensor reads a bit more than 3840 pixels along the horizontal, then scales down the image). Jody Eldred June 27th, 2015, 10:26 AM Thanks. When I viewed this on a 4K monitor I saw no moire or aliasing, BTW. Dave Contreras June 28th, 2015, 12:49 AM Why are there black bars all around the video? Jack Zhang June 28th, 2015, 09:05 AM It was rendered in 4096x2160. X70 can only do 3840x2160 so rendering in 4096 adds black bars on both sides. Scaling 4096 down to 16x9 then adds 2 more bars top and bottom. In simple words: RENDER 3840 to solve this. BTW, I have observed no rolling shutter with the X70 unless you're going nuts with the camera, wildly swinging it back and forth. I rarely shoot like that... That's been my experience as well and that's the reason why I stayed away from the FDR-AX100 |
