Lovely bird, greart footage. Saw them when I visited Bandhavgarh a few years back.

Lovely shots Sabyasachi. Is this a bird you see often? I would certainly love to come to India one day to film & photograph the wildlife!

Great stuff, Sabyasachi. You got really up close. 70-200 or something longer?

Hi Bryce,
We see it in the wild often but not very frequently. We see the Crested Serpent eagle more frequently than this. Once you come to India, you will get hooked. Each National Park has got something different to offer. Except the major national parks, it is impossible to cover the majority of the national parks and sanctuaries in one life time. Frankly speaking we are blessed to have such wildlife. Wish we can protect them.
Cheers,

Hi Gary,
The closeups are at 800mm. I also used a 70-200 f2.8 II IS USM lens +2xTC and zoomed in from wide to 400mm in the initial part just to show the habitat.

Fortunately for me, it flew and perched on a fallen tree. Else, the angle would have been too steep. I could move in very slowly as close a possible without disturbing it.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi
