Just back from a short vacation in Turkey, took my gh4 and a Olympus 9-18mm lens with me, unfortunately I was not able to visit many locations as my bad back doesn't allow me to walk around too much so spend most of my time around the hotel where we were staying and visited the city center once. It was only about 15-18 deg Celsius so not exactly warm but managed to shoot some nice scenery and made it look in post like it was blistering hot :)
I only had a very small minitripod with me, which often was limiting in where I could place the camera, the oly 9-18mm is quite a performer, not a fast lens but very sharp, when you shoot in 4K on the gh4 you really need a lens wider then 12mm for landscapes, the 7-14mm f4 was a bit too expensive for me and I found it too slow considering it's price, the 9-18 from Olympus is half that price and wide open equally fast. Olympus will be releasing their 7-14mm f2.8 soon but I expect it to be very expensive considering their current f4 lens is already about 1500 dollar. For most shots the oly 9-18mm will do for me and it's a great lens to have in your gearbag.
