It is time for me to pull the trigger...but I never took a gun safety course! I am not very good at selecting cams, either.

I you don't need it now wait. I have the NX5U since they first came out but it is now getting a little old. Wait to see what the X70 4K upgrade looks like or even wait for the Panasonic DVX200 in the fall which is what I may upgrade to from my NX5U.

The 8 bit part is what I don't like about the dvx. When does anyone need to upgrade their cams? I am still in yesterland with tape based cams, probably should have upgraded a few years ago. But I am prepared to wait if better technology will soon present attractive opportunities.
