Others have mentioned it, I am looking at this cam, and would rather buy with a lower price, but would like to wait a few weeks to see pricing on other cams and reports on others, as well.
Anyone with inside info on this?

Well, I just ordered mine. I did some final research over the past couple days and the X70 is definitely the best match for what I need. Definitely nice to get USD 300 off!
In looking at Adorama, it's also listed at USD 1,999. But their site doesn't mention when that price expires (if at all).
Sony's Pro site also still lists the reduced "list" price of USD 2,249. Will that also go up? No idea.
On a side note, Sony's 128 U3 SDXC cards were really low at B&H. Just USD 57.99 each (list of 89.99). Sadly they were all sold out, so got a pair of 128 U3 cards from SanDisk (109.95 each). The Sony cards also mention that the special pricing ends tomorrow.

As of now, the X70 is still USD 1,999. And B&H Removed the expiration date of the price. Thus, this may be a more permament price drop after all.

as nice of a cam as it is, it's pretty remarkable that it's been shipping for 7 months, and still no 4k firmware

The price on these cards has expired. Now at USD 76.00 each. Still out of stock though at B&H.

Date of update already made public. It'll be June and roughly $500 US.
Also at the moment XAVC-L from the camera still doesn't work in FCPX.
