Bought the Removu R1 on the B&H deal. Wouldn't work for the Hero 4. Updated the firmware and it's frozen on the logo as of about 45 minutes ago. Except now it's overheating to the point where its screaming hot and the buttons are non responsive. Because it's an internal battery... I can't shut it down. I think I'll put it on top of this can of gasoline and see what happens... POS.

Yes. I have one, I updated the firmware (which is necessary to work with the Hero 4 as is indicated on the the Removu web site) and it works fine with my GoPro Hero 4 Black.

What firmware version are you trying to use? It should be Version 1.5.1. Which Hero 4? What firmware version?

Yep, we updated it. That's when it locked up completely for 3 hours until the battery died because the off button wouldn't work any more. :)
