Does the FDR-AX100 have full manual control? For example, can I set:

--- SHUTTER: 1/120
--- IRIS: f/4
--- GAIN: 0db

...and have the camera maintain those setting no matter where I point the thing?

(Documentation I've viewed gives me the impression that I can manually set any ONE of these variables, but that the other 2 might switch back to automatic.)

Thanks.

yes, you can manually adjust and lock each setting.

You can lock 'em all, unlike the typical Handycams. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to switch between settings and adjust on the fly.

Lots of things I like in my AX-100 over my XA 70. You can always reset the settings at once with the enclosed PROGRAM AE and also like the dedicated WB balance button.

Do mean XA20/XA25 or X70, never heard of an XA 70 ! ;)

Yep...meant the X70. I have too many cameras. ;-)
