I did a write up (my first ever camera blogpost) over at my website on using the FS7 (or 3 of them) on a professinal shoot.
We were shooting for TV2 here in Norway, a show called Golden Goal. Itīs a sport talk show, where the hosts have segments trying out different sports.
We have used Sony EX-3 and XDCAM 700 cameras for the last 4-5 years, and it was time to upgrade. We did a trip to Europe this fall with Sony F55 cameras, great cameras, but to bring 3 of them with all the additional gear that is required adds a lot of wheight when flying.
So we decided to give the FS7 a go on the next trip.

You can read about it here:

Here is a link to a short preview, not sure if it will work outside Norway

Looked good. Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm still enjoying the FS-100 and thinking seriously about the FS7, but every time I hear about the firmware issues, it makes me want to wait. Have your problems been resolved with firmware updates?

Hi
Thanks. It's not the best looking segment we did, but it was very challenging with the sun, the sea and the White of the boat.
No new firmware yet to address the problems yet, but I'm hoping the next one will be a good one.
It's a good camera that hopefully can turn into a great one soon.
I have to add that I just had my hands on the kit lens, it's not wide enough for my kind of use, but that's not my biggest gripe with this thing.
I thought it was manual zoom as well as focus, but it's not. Even controlling the zoom with the rocker is extremely slow as well. If you try to manually zoom, it's a big delay and you can't do an accurate zoom.
