Whats your stay period in Bristol

Is it Sunday night to the Friday night next or anything else.

We'll be getting in early morning on the 8th and leaving on the 15th

I'm staying from monday 10th oct - friday 14th oct.

I plan to be there from Sunday morning to checking out on the next Saturday morning.

Have to meet a few friends depending upon them being in UK at that time. Hence my time in UK may be the above or few day plus.

I'm planning Monday 10th until Friday 14th.
Hopefully I will get vacation so I can go. Haven't bought any tickets for the wildscreen yet, but I take that as it comes. Most important is to meet all of you, and have a great time.

It really is a trip of a lifetime and needs to be documented... even if it's a snippet here and there.

I'll be celebrating a birthday during that time. What a wish come true to celebrate it there with the UWOL team. If you think of it, post a group photo here on the forum around October 9th, and my birthday wish will come true! ;-)

Any one knows where the Wildscreen event is organised, yes i see that they have a office address as
King St, Bristol, Avon BS1 4DZ, United Kingdom.
However is this the place the complete event is organised or is it only a office address.
Thought of asking as someone here might know.

The Bristol Marriot Royal Hotel is right across the street which is where we are staying as well as several other UWOL'ers.

I'm sorry I cannot make it -- too much already going on in October. However, I would like to send some DVi swag to you guys. I could ship a box directly to the venue to someone's attention... Kevin or Trond perhaps.

Shipping to me or Kevin should be fine. We will be staying at the same hotel. Another option (depending of the size and weight of the package), would be to send it to one of us in advance.

Thanks fellows, this will be a few small NAB give-away items times the five or six of you. I'll look into the cost of shipping directly to Mick and if it's prohibitive then I'll ask Kevin for the cross-pond assist. I know how much of a premium luggage space can be for overseas travel though. Much appreciated,

I say exactly that myself Kevin only my other half appears to think what weight I'm not carrying she can add to hers lol

Trips to Montana I usually pack my big carbon fiber tripod with the Vinten head in my suitcase along with my heavy winter boots, parka etc.
I usually end up paying the overweight fee as well as an additions bag fee when I check my drone.

Hoping this is gonna be of a vacation than worrying about shooting any footage so I'll bring my little travel carbon fiber tripod and I don't think I need my boots that are made to work in the arctic circle! 😀

Kevin, Ah, no arctic boots needed, just chest waders as the west country is renowned for its rain lol. I'll have all my gear with me so if you need anything just ask.

Hopefully we'll have a couple days of sunshine!

Being centred around the old harbour area you should get some lovely lovely night scenes with reflections off the the water from the nearby lite up buildings.

Well I'm just back from my third Zambia trip and now I go into a an edit in Bristol for 5 weeks!!

Which means I will definitely be in the country and my importantly Bristol for Wildscreen.

Several of us are staying right across the street from Watershed

Finally i am in , got my Visa yesterday.

Will be at The Clifton Hotel.

Lets see who all are now going to come , list it out and may be make a communication group on Whatsapp or something similar, so that we can communicate with full group when there , may help only a suggestion.

Very excited to be able to meet you all in person, also to meet Cees as he is my Inspiration . Just super excited.

Since the schedule of the week is being released and updated we can decide on what all we would attend , it may be a hectic week and from the time i left my day job Hectic is a word thats been missing from all around :)

Regarding the whatsapp idea, I believe we need each other's phone numbers.

How about everyone email me through the forum with their numbers amd then I send a mail back to everyone of you with everyone's number? Or is there an easier way?
Then we can make the group Vishal suggested.

Notice: I am still waiting for Chris to give me the new password for the uwol email, so we can't use that one for now.

Both may work depending upon how many use them .

Probably Facebook messenger best, assuming all attending will have internet access on their phone, tablet etc, Hotels will be ok for free wifi as well as the watershed and most other venues used. Not long now
