Ooo-er missus . .. Does that augur a possible entrance of the XF400 - and here, read that as 4K?

C'mon Mr Canon.

Actually, I've seen price drops prior to this to then find them creep back up.

Grazie

"Your" feedback (possessive adverb); you're correct (first person possessive contraction). My dreams are mine own!

The XF300 came out in mid 2010, that is over 4 years ago. Historically about as long a life as any other Canon camcorder before it was replaced in the product line.

The XF200 does not appear to have attracted much attention or popularity, mostly ho-hum comments from what I've seen. So that may have prompted Canon to go one better/add a year before an XF300 replacement, possibly to be announced at NAB this spring. And a price cut now to clear stock and the parts supply channel before summer Time will tell.

Can I smell something along on the breeze?

A friend of mine picked up 2 used XF300's on Ebay last year in good condition for $3,000. I bet before long, you'll be able to get a used XF300 for $2,000-$2,500. I wouldn't mind having one for that price.

They just dropped the price on just about everything, didn't they? I feel like if a 4K camera is in the works it better be priced more competitively. I have always been a Canon fan and have never had a problem with any of their products that I own but Sony keeps looking better and better just based on price.
