Is it possible to use "Vocal Rider" as a plugin in vegas? If so, where to learn more about using this plugin in Vegas
?

Yes, this plug-in works in Vegas Pro but I doubt you could use its sidechain facilities in Vegas Pro.

You saw the infos at Waves (http://www.waves.com/riding-vocals-with-vocal-rider)?

Sadly sidechaining is one of those features that has been on the request list for years! Without it, plugins like Vocal Rider are worthless in Vegas.

If it's just vox ducking you're looking for then this might do the trick Sidechain Compressor | Dance production & voiceover audio plug-in (http://www.db-audioware.com/sidechain-compressor) for much less money. I've never used it as I personally prefer the results of tedious envelope drawing but every time the question of sidechain compression in Vegas comes up this plugin seems to be mentioned as a solution.

Gotta say Vocal Rider does look good, though :-)

Perhaps it might be interesting: Here's a forgotten post in Sony's Forum where m_b explains how to do with Vegas a sidechain ducking technique:

Sony Creative Software - Forums - Vegas Pro - Audio Messages (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=19&MessageID=756108#756059)

Thanks Juan. I do vaguely remember this! I also remember thinking how nice it would be to, well, just have a one click sidechain function in Vegas! :-)

Yes, It would help even with two clicks! :-)
