Paul Anderegg November 29th, 2014, 03:57 AM PAL version? Peik Henrichson November 29th, 2014, 05:01 AM There is usually an E (not C) to indicate that itīs a PAL version of a camcorder. E as in European, I suppose. Sometimes I have also seen a P on the PAL version, but never a C Mark Watson November 29th, 2014, 08:21 AM I see three vendors for the C model are Italy, Spain and Finland. According to Wikipedia, these countries used to be PAL, but have changed to NTSC. So possibly they can switch between PAL/NTSC frame rates in the camera menu or possibly it's the list of languages that the menu uses. Steve, you got me there! Okay so... they dropped PAL as a transmission standard and went to something called DVB-T for terrestrial broadcasting. Yeah, what was I thinking? (why would anybody switch from PAL to NTSC this late in the game). So, that would not have any affect on camera types. Mark Paul Anderegg December 2nd, 2014, 02:26 PM The USA dropped NTSC too, went to ATSC......I think the DVB stuff is 49.95 frames per second? :) Paul |
