I've always been a great fan of FXHome's compositing software, Hitfilm Ultimate 1/2, and was looking forward to the release of Hitfilm Pro 3.
At first sight, the user interface is very very smart. There are a number of new features that I haven't had the chance to explore yet (it only came onstream yesterday!)
However, one major feature that is missing is the integration from within Vegas 13.
I'm told by FXHome that it's in the hands of Sony Vegas to provide an update to re-enable the feature, so I'm hoping that it won't be too long in coming.
Hitfilm Pro still works beautifully as a stand-alone programme any way, but it was good to be able to right-click on a clip and move straight into Hitfilm.
I should add however that there are many more of the Hitfilm FX now showing up in the VFX panel in Vegas...
