When you guys are talking about 35mm adapters, what do you mean when you say it's a "static" adapter? Is that where the GG does not move/vibrate?

Another question, does the "micro wax slide" GG have grain? Does it need to be moving? or has anyone hooked up a wax GG to a Vibrating/moving device on their 35mm adapter?

Hi Kurmar,

Yes the term 'static' indeed means when the GG is not moving/vibrating.

Microwax is used with the 'aim' of getting a grianless glass. However, just looking at the length of the 'Microwax Techniques' thread, you can see its not easy, and probably not good enough for HD. The G35 uses static, i beleive wax, but not seen HD footage from it, i maybe wrong though.

I dont think people have tried moving or vibrating microwax since its only used for it 'grainless' properties, if moving or vibrating then you may as well use an optically better ground glass rather then wax.
