Hi,
Wondering if anyone else has had vignetting issues with this model Fujinon lens???? I get this in almost every shot with my Tiffen UV filter on(it is not a high profile one or anything......)
When I take the filter off, the vignetting goes away. Is this a lens problem? I don't want to shoot anything without any lens protection.

Even with a low profile filter ring this can sometimes happen on some lenses on some cameras. If you are not seeing the problem without a filter I would suggest the filter is just shading the lens a little. Sometimes using a thin step up adapter ring and a 10mm larger filter diameter fixes the problem. At a guess I would say your lens has an 82mm filter size so maybe go up to a 90-95mm size. Failing that the good old matte box solution can save the day.

Thanks Christopher, I will look into buying the 82mm to 95mm step up adapter, and a 95mm clear filter.
Much appreciated!

Strange.
I have this lens also with a Tiffen filter (82mm) and don't have any problems.

This show up on your final output, or just in your viewfinder? All my Panasonic P2 and Varicams tended to show a bit more in the VF than I saw in my NLE or on air.

It is on the final product, we can always resize, but it's kind of odd. I have been getting it know when i have NO filter on the lens.

Is the ND filter wheel slightly offset?
I've seen this cause vignetting.
