The O7Q now has delivered 4K ProRes, here are a couple quick shots from NH.

This is a 4K file you can download, it plays as 1080 in Vimeo:

This is a 1080 showing Slog and then a quick CC and a reframe from the 4K ProRes in FCPX, this is quick and dirty., you can download the 1080 file.

Bear in mind that even the uploaded file has been compressed by FCPX for upload to Vimeo.

I have not updated to the last firmware release several months ago....do I need to install that first or can I just go straight to the October release?

Just go straight to the new one. It will work fine.

Quick question, with the 4K Raw to 4K UHD ProRes is the image 10 bit or 12 bit?

Dear Maxwell,

The FS700 outputs 4K Raw, in 12-Bits.

Other cameras that output 4K Full Uncompressed output 4K in (typically) 10-Bits Color Depth.

All Apple ProRes 422 HQ is 10-Bits, or 8-Bits in a 10-Bit word.

When our source is 12-Bits, we use a special technique to optimize the conversion to 10-Bits.

Quick question, with the 4K Raw to 4K UHD ProRes is the image 10 bit or 12 bit?

Answer: 10-Bits.

Respectfully,
