The thumb screw on the mic assembly is a weak part. In the first 6 months of ownership, the screw was stripped. Sony replaced it under warranty. But shortly after the warranty went out, the screw stripped again. And this time, Sony Canada asked me 65$ for this screw. A non sens. So since this time, I put some camera tape to hold the mic assembly.
But since I will be selling my FS100 soon, I wanted to replace this screw. After a lot of research, I found the perfect replacement. The diameter is a little bit smaller, but it is as easy to operate as the original one.
I had to buy a pack of 12 of those, I wasn't able to source them individually. So if you also need a screw like that I will be more than happy to ship one to you.
I am pretty sure I can ship it to you via standard letter mail, So I am asking 5$usd including shipping for US and Canada, 7$usd internationnally.
I don't want to do any money with this sale, Just want to help any people with the same problem. Send me a private message if you need one (or more).
On the picture, the original one is on the left, the replacement one, the one you will get, is on the right.
