Need a medium format camera that shoots 4K video? Get the Leica S Type 007:

The New Camera System Leica S (Type 007) // Global // About Leica News // Leica News // World of Leica - Leica Camera AG (http://us.leica-camera.com/World-of-Leica/Leica-News/About-Leica-News/Global/The-New-Camera-System-Leica-S-Type-007)

The sensor is 30 × 45 mm, which is smaller than my 60 x 60 mm Bronica S2A's film area, but larger than the 5D's 24 x 36mm sensor size. That said, the frame rate of my manual crank, 12 photos per roll Bronica is a bit slower than 24 fps...

Does HD in the full medium format frame, but 4K only in an S35 window.
Should be the opposite...

From the website:

"...full-HD video in full-frame medium-format sensor size and 4K video recording..."

They kind of hide that 4K in S35 thing, don't they. Very odd.

All I can figure is that in HD it has time to read the full sensor and process it. In 4K, they must need to window down to a 2160p window in order to read/process the data quickly enough.

Looks like I'll be shooting my medium frame, high res movie 12 film frames at a time for a while. (Crank, click, crank, click...)

They'd actually have something unique if they made a 4k medium format video camera.

Just curious, is there anyone on this forum who has this camera...?
