How much remote control can you have with the BMCC(not 4K)? Can you use an android device/IPAD? I read someone was making an android app part-time. I don't want to buy one of those weird remotes with a handle.

When you filming with BMCC how soon do you know when there is a problem in the footage? Can you tell right away in view finder or only after uploading it?
