Disclosure: I have nothing to do with the running of the festival, but I entered the last one, and managed to win just over $1000. In that contest they paid out to 8th place. In this one they are doing winner takes all.

The page is a little light on details right now, but I've been following them on Facebook. It's not guaranteed 5k right now, but from what I can tell they are getting close on sponsors to get there.
